About the book: Spring for Susannah

Booklist says, "Inspired by [folk] lyrics, Richmond arrives on the inspirational fiction scene with a moving debut novel. Readers will be filled with hope that Susannah will learn the true meaning of love. Highly recommended where inspiring, romantic historical fiction is in demand."

Hundreds of miles from home, Susannah faces an uncertain future as a mail-order bride on the untamed Dakota prairie.

When her parents die suddenly, and no suitors call, Susannah resigns herself to the only option available: becoming a mail-order bride. Agreeing to marry her pastor's brother, Jesse, Susannah leaves the only home she's ever known for the untamed frontier of the Dakota Territory.

Her new husband is more loving and patient with her than she believes she deserves. Still, there is also a wildness to him that mirrors the wilderness surrounding them. And Susannah finds herself constantly on edge. But Jesse's confidence in her-and his faith in God's perfect plan-slowly begin to chip away at the wall she hides behind.

When she miscarries in the brutal Dakota winter, Susannah's fledgling faith in herself and in God begins to crumble. Still, Jesse's love is unwavering. Just when it seems like winter will never end, Susannah finally sees the first tentative evidence of spring. And with it, the realization that more than the landscape has changed.

She looks to the future with a renewed heart. Yet in her wildest dreams, she couldn't predict all that awaits her.

About Catherine: Catherine Richmond was focused on her career as an occupational therapist till a special song planted a story idea in her mind. That idea would ultimately become Spring for Susannah, her first novel. She is also a founder and moderator of Nebraska Novelist critique group and lives in Nebraska with her husband.

TWEET THIS: "Branded by @timsinclair - Jesus is a life-changing product with lousy sales-people! @litfuse http://ow.ly/566nr :"

FACEBOOK THIS: Branded by Tim Sinclair is a compelling look at what Christians can learn from companies like Apple & Starbucks about sharing their faith! Jesus is a life-changing product with lousy sales-people! http://litfusegroup.com/blogtours/text/13338985

About Branded:

The church spends $1.5 million for every one new follower of Jesus. Apple sells 26 iPads every minute. What is it that makes Apple so exciting and Jesus so boring? What is it that compels someone to bring their iPod everywhere and their Bible nowhere? In a word: marketing. Jesus is a life-changing product with lousy salespeople-people who are intimidated and embarrassed by the word "evangelism" and who show more enthusiasm for their gadgets than their God.

What would life look like if we stopped mass-marketing Jesus and started marketing our faith like Nike and Apple market their products--sharing relationally, from person to person? Using examples from these and other successful companies, author Tim Sinclair challenges Christians to throw out their casual attitudes toward faith and sign on for a marketing campaign for the Savior.

Written with the wit and wisdom of an experienced marketer, Branded peels away the feelings of fear and encourages readers how to share their faith in ways that are honest, authentic, and, most importantly, effective.

I had seen this book on Net Galley and thought I have got to see
about reading it as I knew my son who is 3 would Love it as he Loves bugs.
So once I downloaded it he did not even want me on the Computer as he had to
sit and look at all the different bugs and there shapes and colors.
So once we where done on the site we went outside and found some bugs then we
came back inside and looked them up so he would see what is in our area.
I do know this will be one book Iwill be buying him as it is a great book to have to help
teach him with and it gives us something to do as a family.
I can tell you as a past homeschool teacher this would make a nice gift for a teacher.

Non Fiction

This is a nice book to share with my son who is 3.
I am teaching him his ABC's and with this book it allowed
me to show him more words that start with the letters we are learning.
He Loves new and different things and I could tell he liked knowing it
was about the Circus.
I look forward to taking him to the Circus this year and seeing if he remembers
what he learned from the book we shared.
If you have not had a chance to look at this book I would like to suggest you
take a moment and check it out.
The colors really stand out and the pages are easy to read.
It was a fun read for my husband as well as he also read it with him.

review~bull riders secret

Sell Used Books Online - Quick Cash, Free Shipping, Free Quotes!
The Bull Riders Secret
Harlequin American Romance
ISBN 9780373753688
Marvin Thomas
Fiction

As a young lady it seems like I have been reading Harlequin for years and
that they just keep getting better and better.
I Love the new series I have seen coming out lately such as the ones on the
Military and now these fine Cowboys I have gotten to read about.
My question is how do we read all of them because they seem to print so many
that I know I could never keep up with them.

Now I would like to share my thoughts with you on the latest book I read from them
which is called The Bull riders Secret.
First of all let me say Man Oh Man what a fox.
I would not mind going to the Rodeo if I had a chance of meeting him.
I also enjoyed getting to know Kat and her son.
Its so nice to see a women can do a mans job just as well as they can.
I wanted to kick the ex husband though for the way he treated them but there
was no need of this as Brody took care of that.
If you have not had a time to check out these wonderful books in a while I would
suggest you take the time to do it.
I do know there is another book coming out and I can tell you I can not wait to read it.

Review~ world without fish.

Sell Used Books Online - Quick Cash, Free Shipping, Free Quotes!
World Without Fish
Mark Kurlansky
ISBN 978-0-7611-5607-9

I choose this book as my son is 3 and Loves fish.
My husband Loves to fish and also likes to have
fish tanks when possible so I thought this would
make a book we could all enjoy and I am glad I did
as we all had fun sharing the stories and seeing his
daughter was a big part of it made it even more special
to us as family is so important to me and always trying
to include my son it was nice to see someone else also
does this.
I think this book is good as a science book and I would
like to see it in schools.
The illustrations are so wonderful and the colors are so perfect.
I liked that it is not only a story book but that it has a story to teach us.
This book is good for both adults as well as children.

There is so many different books that they fit every sitution someone
wishes to read about at any given time.
From book on families to pets to Entrpreneurs which is my favorite
When I was approached by Chick Soup and asked to review there
books and that I would be alloweed to give 2 away I was so happy as
this alloweed me to read and share my favorite books with my readers.
The book I was given has double meaning for me as I have lost so many
people I Love but none as important to me as my daughter Suzzane who
would have been 23 this Mothers Day but you see I do not get to share her
Birthday or Mothers Day with her as she passed away in 2004 but there is one
poem in this book that I plan on taking and reading to her on Sunday as it will

I am blessed though as I can share these books with my son as he gets older
and with my husband who knows how important they are too.
So know I would like to share one with you as well as a poem from this one.

How To Help

Please be gentle with this new person
That I was forced to become.
I need understanding and patience.,
So Please administer some.

I often find myself floundering
in my daily activitesnow,
And some of the things I used to do
Are harder to do somehow

There are certain songs I can not bear to hear
And places where I can not dwell
And just folding laundry may make me cry:
{Shopping for groceries as well}

If the smell of a grilled cheese sandwich
Has me suddnley weeping tears:
Please understand that he Loved them for lunch
And I made them for him for years.

And don't be afraid to mention his name.
I need that more than you know.
Your not the reason I am hurting so much-
The loss of my son made that so
(Only for me it was my daughter)

Just offer your shoulder if I need to cry.
And listen if I need to talk.
This road I am on is SO difficult-
The hardest I will ever walk.

Mabey someday I will show you his pictures
(Ask me I would Love to show you Suzzanes)
And not fall aprat at the seams.
Just tell me that you know I am hurting so-
I can't tell you how much that means.

I know that the pain will get softer
So be patient with me till it does
I will never be the same person again,
For, I am not the ME I Was.

Beverly F Walker

Let me tell you she and I could be friends as I fell the same way she does.

Happy Mothers Day to everyone and I hope it is a wonderful day for you

I Love you Suzzane and I miss you
