Christmas Event and Tree Lighting in Hurst, Texas

My whole family is going to be attending this on Tuesday eve. I am so afraid to attend this event as my son is so small and I am so afraid they will not be able to offer crowd control and we will lose him. If this happens I am going to be so scared. I am so tempted to put him into a stroller but I know he would not like that at all. He would think we are treating him like a baby. My next thing is to get a leash but I have used them in the past and he slips out of them. Normally my husband carries him but he is heaver now and I am not sure he can do this for two whole hours.

So Please tell me how you can keep up with your small children in a crowd? Do they stay with you? Or do they get distracted and wander off?

He is used to getting into lines at the bank where they have velvet ropes and he keeps his hand on it as we move forward and if they have the same items at this event then I think we would be OK. Unless something just catches his eye and he forgets ad this is what I am afraid will happen.

I also know there will be barricades when we cross the streets and he knows to stay to the inside of them. He also knows what Policeman look like and to ask for help. Plus to not talk to strangers so I think it will be OK. Plus it will be good practice for when we go to the amusement parks and water parks this summer. If I can trust him at this event and he does what I ask then I know he would at the others.

Here in Texas at a lot of events they are using stanchions with the events names on it. I even took him to my husbands work and showed him these encase they decide to use something like this at the event. So I think I have covered all the basis but I will let you know how it went on Wed.

On Thanksgiving Day we’re thankful for
Our blessings all year through,
For family we dearly love,
For good friends, old and new.
For sun to light and warm our days,
For stars that glow at night,
For trees of green and skies of blue,
And puffy clouds of white.
We’re grateful for our eyes that see
The beauty all around,
For arms to hug, and legs to walk,
And ears to hear each sound.
The list of all we’re grateful for
Would fill a great big book;
Our thankful hearts find new delights
Everywhere we look!

OK what do you get a man who can buy anything he wants for his self? I know he Loves candy but he is not supposed to have it. So his wife watches how much he gets. Then there is the Blueberries and Blackberries he likes. So I usually buy him a cobble and jelly. As well as Syrup which he is not supposed to have. Only this year I would like to get him something totally different than what I usually get him.

So can you help me? I was thinking of some audio books as he Loves to listen to them when he is driving his big rig but then I am afraid I would pick out some he would not want and so this year I found a site that has audio tapes and so I may go and buy him a gift certificate for them.

I am thinking I also may do this for my dad as he Loves to read and sometimes his eyes bother him. Plus since there is so many older people in her I may try and get each of them at least one of the audio books and they can switch them with each other as they do not have money to buy those types of items.

So my question is there is both ladies and gentleman her what types of books should I order and if I do should I order all one type or a variety as I would hate to get ones they might not read so how can I find out what I should order without them knowing what I am doing?

Santa, may I have a maid from Austin for Christmas???

We are getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and I would like to say once it is all over that I would like to have a maid to come in and clean up for us. As everyone in my apartment complex is getting together to make a Thanksgiving Dinner that we all will not forget. So as a gift to them as they are elderly I would like to have a house cleaning service to come in like they have in Austin.

Then once the apartment is clean I would like to have a home carpet cleaning Austin and clean all the rugs in our apartments as most of us have pets. So I would like for them to come in and use there pet removal services as they use all natural biodegradable cleaners as I would not like my animals to get hurt and with those types of products then they would not get hurt.

So today I was on the Internet and I found a site called http://www.thesteamteam.com/ and they do all I would like for Santa to bring to use. The only downside is they are in a different state and so now I need to research and see if I can find one here who does all I need them to do.

New Year's Resolutions 2011:

1.Join a gym

2.Get published

3.Put Lily in day care

Check, check, and…about to embark on number three.

My daughter was born in November of 2009. Now almost two years old, Lily

is almost talking, definitely walking, and the light of my life. Giving

birth was a milestone in my thirty-year-old existence. With her arrival

came the need to create. Writing had never been my artistic outlet;

instead, I had a background in acting and performing arts. However, when

she was a couple of months old (and sleeping through the night) I took a

local community college class in screenwriting, and penned my first

feature, TWI-HARD, which placed in the top ten of the Golden Brad Awards

Movie Script Contest.

That summer I took a vacation on the Olympic Peninsula, WA, and visited

the Mecca of Forks, home to Twilight (and TWI-HARD). On my return, I

turned the screenplay in a single title novel, which I had edited by a

friend of a friend at Little Brown United Kingdom.

Sigh. TWI-HARD had a ways to go before it could ever be published. And I

had a lot of work to do in order to be good enough.

That's when I became a member of www.savvyauthors.com, and took online

classes on technique, plotting, and craft. In February of 2011, I

received three contracts spanning four new projects and accepted two. HOLD

ME, and its sequels, THRILL ME and ENTICE ME were released this fall from

Entangled Publishing, and my novella, THE KISS TEST, also came out this

year from Cobblestone Press.

I have Savvy Authors to thank for my three-book deal with Entangled, since

I participated in a pitch session there with Entangled's Managing Editor,

Heather Howland, and soon after received the offer for HOLD ME.

Weirdly, although I'd never had a sport in my life, or been inside the

door of a gym, I started to workout in February of 2011, right before my

breakthrough into publishing. I'm now addicted to Olympic style

weightlifting, competed at state level in June, and (because I was the

only one lifting in my weight class) became State Champion in the 53 kilo

category. I kid you not.

Freakishly into exercise (this from a former couch potato), I've lost all

the pregnancy weight and then some. Jiut Jitsu, Crossfit and writing have

become part of who I am, and they come as naturally as being a Mom.

Luckily I still work part-time, from home, and have official child-minding

duties every second day. Time to work, workout, write, and to watch my

toddler grow. 2011 will be a year to remember for me, that's for sure.

I feel blessed.

Author bio: Lucianne writes romantic suspense for Entangled Publishing and

Cobblestone Press. Born and raised in Ireland, she currently lives in New

Mexico with her young daughter.

Formerly a stage and television actress, she now manages a non-profit and

is NM State Champion in her weight class for Olympic style weightlifting.

Long story. Recently she has taken up Crossfit, Jiu Jitsu and boxing.

Blurb:

ENTICE ME by Lucianne Rivers

Heartsick over the untimely death of her mother, Allison Caldwell is

blindsided again by the secret revealed in her mom’s will. Her supposedly

dead father is alive, and she and her two sisters must find him in order

to settle the Caldwell estate.

Robert Rivera, private investigator and former Navy SEAL, alerts Allison

to new intel identifying her father as a P.O.W. in Afghanistan. With her

sisters out of the country pursuing leads, Allison insists on heading to

the war-ravaged country to find him. Robert doesn’t want his naïve client

to take the risk. He knows what danger lays in that godforsaken land…he’s

lived through it. Barely.

But Allison is determined to go, and Robert can’t let her travel alone.

Reluctantly appreciative, Allison quickly realizes how much she needs his

guidance and protection, and how deeply she longs for his love. Robert

struggles to understand her effect on his battle-weary heart.

The path to Allison’s father is blocked by terrorists, traps and

treachery—all demons of Robert’s past. Can he survive a second round with

the enemy and keep Allison out of harm’s way?
