My whole family is going to be attending this on Tuesday eve. I am so afraid to attend this event as my son is so small and I am so afraid they will not be able to offer crowd control and we will lose him. If this happens I am going to be so scared. I am so tempted to put him into a stroller but I know he would not like that at all. He would think we are treating him like a baby. My next thing is to get a leash but I have used them in the past and he slips out of them. Normally my husband carries him but he is heaver now and I am not sure he can do this for two whole hours.
So Please tell me how you can keep up with your small children in a crowd? Do they stay with you? Or do they get distracted and wander off?
He is used to getting into lines at the bank where they have velvet ropes and he keeps his hand on it as we move forward and if they have the same items at this event then I think we would be OK. Unless something just catches his eye and he forgets ad this is what I am afraid will happen.
I also know there will be barricades when we cross the streets and he knows to stay to the inside of them. He also knows what Policeman look like and to ask for help. Plus to not talk to strangers so I think it will be OK. Plus it will be good practice for when we go to the amusement parks and water parks this summer. If I can trust him at this event and he does what I ask then I know he would at the others.
Here in Texas at a lot of events they are using stanchions with the events names on it. I even took him to my husbands work and showed him these encase they decide to use something like this at the event. So I think I have covered all the basis but I will let you know how it went on Wed.
